“ Delicious and fresh yakitori dishes at very reasonable prices served by friendly staff. ”

“ I visited YAKITORI Torikizoku Dotonbori Nakaza Store in September 2024, and it was an interesting first experience at an Izakaya. Located in the bustling Dotonbori area, the restaurant is clearly popular, as there was a line when we arrived. We waited about 30 minutes to get a table, so be prepared for a wait during peak hours. The atmosphere was lively and typical of an Izakaya, with a casual and friendly vibe. The staff provided good service and were attentive despite how busy it was. Orders were taken promptly, and the staff made an effort to ensure everyone was comfortable. As for the food, it was average. The yakitori items were decent but didn’t particularly stand out compared to other places I’ve tried. The menu had a variety of skewers and side dishes, but the flavors felt somewhat basic. Similarly, the beers were standard and didn’t add much to the overall dining experience. While the food and drinks didn’t wow me, the lively ambiance and good service made up for it. It’s a suitable spot if you’re looking for a casual and budget-friendly Izakaya experience in Dotonbori, but I wouldn’t consider it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. Overall, the experience was okay, and it’s worth a try if you’re curious about Izakaya culture or need a casual place to hang out in the area. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you visit during busy times. ”

“ Highly recommended! Great value with delicious yakitori, tasty side dishes, and beer. The atmosphere is nice, and don’t miss the dessert to complete your meal Located inside the Nakaza store building on the 2nd floor (accessible by escalator). ”

“ I took my friends here, who were visitng Japan from the UK, to have them try an Izakya at least once and even though the place was quite tight in space, Torikizoku definitely didn't disappoint. We started off ordeing some beers, a bowl of edamame and a bowl of zosui (Japanese rice soup) from the tablet which also has an English Language option. We then ordered a tamago croquettes (a dish of egg croquettes) and a lot of skewers. Most of their skewers are chicken, but there is a beef and pork skewer. And lastly one of us ordered an ice cream for dessert. As a person from the UK I have never seen anything similar to an Izakaya or even as cheap, especially per person. Overall they have great grills and dishes and a nice atmosphere from a chain that is almost everywhere in Japan. Definitely worth trying! ”

“ Food is delivered quicker than expected for how busy it is. On the day, we had much lower customer numbers compared to shop across the street. Meat is of reasonably quality for the chain. Creme Broulee dessert was disappointment ”

“ Some really good yakitori for a really good price! Everything is 390 yen. Furthermore you can chose, if you want to eat the chicken grilled with their sauce or just salt. The price also includes some tasty Chicken-Waffel (maple) Sandwich, rice bowls and more. Even the mega lemon sour was 390 yen! The first bowl of cabbage costs money and the refills are free :) A must visit if u like drinking and eating. ”

“ Torikizoku is one of my go to whenever I'm on a solo trip to Japan as there are seats for solo diner and they also do welcome solo diners. Food is nice and not expensive. Every dish on the menu is a fixed price so you won't get a bill shock . Ordering of food and drinks are easy as you order everything through a tablet and there are multiple languages like English and Chinese so its definitely not a problem for tourists like me. Food is also served fast and hot so everything is ok. The only con for me is that the place tends toget noisy and rowdy as its still an izakaya which is a drinking place so do not expect it to be a quiet dining place. ”

“ Always a good meal here. Love all their skewers and super cold crisp beer! Service was great and price is awesome for the amount you're served! Love the chicken wings, chicken hearts and gizzards! If you're expecting rice however it takes 40 mins to cook ”
